Medicine

Here is my go-to classic tea for healing an aggravated gut- anything from indigestion, diarrhea, constipation, pre/post or during antibiotic use, or in aiding a food elimination protocol. This tea will heal and soothe the intestinal lining while decreasing inflammation. Start with equal parts of the following herbs or adjust as you like. Consider adding in ginger if you have any nausea.

Healing Gut Tea

Ingredients

Calendula off.   (Pot marigold flowers)

Matricaria recutita  (Chamomile flowers)

Mentha spicata  (Spearmint leaves)

Foeniculum vulg.  (Fennel seed)

Glycyrrhiza glabra  (Licorice root)

Althea officinalis  (Marshmallow root)

Preparation

Combine and mix. Place 1 ounce of tea into a 1 quart jar. Fill the jar with boiling water. Cover and let steep over night or until cooled to room temperature. Drink the entire quart throughout the day. Enjoy and marvel at the wonderful healing miracles inside your glass!
